Industrial Engineer

Location: Whitsett, North Carolina

Job Type: Regular Full-time

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

Position Summary:

Seeking a motivated Industrial Engineer to support process improvement and operational efficiency in a high-volume server manufacturing environment. This role focuses on analyzing workflows, supporting engineering projects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across end to end server manufacturing process. Works under minimal general supervision and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Optimization & Engineering Support

  • Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in layout design, material flow optimization, and takt time balancing.
  • Maintain process documentation and standard work instructions.

Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in Kaizen events and support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Track and report KPIs such as cycle time, yield, and labor efficiency.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement process enhancements.

Project Support

  • Contribute to engineering projects including new product introductions and process changes.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Assist in tracking project timelines and resource usage.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Use Excel, Power BI, and other tools to analyze production data and identify trends.
  • Prepare reports for engineering and operations leadership.

Safety & Compliance

  • Support compliance with OSHA, ISO, and internal safety standards.
  • Participate in ergonomic assessments and safety improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 plus years of experience in manufacturing (electronics or server manufacturing preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, SFDC).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to server components and rack-level integration.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow or Green Belt preferred).
  • Experience with automation and digital manufacturing tools.
