Join our team as a Multifamily Superintendent!


At Gorman & Company, we believe our people are our most important asset. We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee field construction efforts for a high-rise multifamily remodel project involving approximately 400 units. This large-scale redevelopment includes infrastructure upgrades to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, civil work, and unit renovations. The Superintendent will ensure the project is safely constructed, delivered on schedule, and within budget.

As a Construction Superintendent, you will:


  • Supervise on-site personnel, forecast crew size, and maintain performance records.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in partnership with the Project Manager.
  • Oversee all phases of high-rise remodel construction, including civil infrastructure and MEP systems upgrades.
  • Review specifications, subcontracts, and schedules; coordinate activity with subcontractors.
  • Enforce jobsite safety requirements (Safety Program, OSHA, HAZCOM).
  • Anticipate material needs, coordinate delivery dates, and verify deliveries.
  • Maintain all necessary jobsite paperwork, including daily logs, field work orders, timecards, and as-built drawings.
  • Foster a professional, collaborative jobsite environment.
  • Ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, within budget, and delivered on schedule.


Construction Superintendent Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in high-rise, multifamily, and remodel/renovation projects required.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure systems (MEP, civil, structural).
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
