Position Summary:

The Rowdy Grouse Crew is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner. They ensure a clean and well-stocked bar, maintain knowledge of drink recipes and bar equipment, and provide excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience.

Schedule will include weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests, take and prepare drink orders, and provide recommendations while ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • ID guests in accordance to Idaho state liquor and identification laws. Monitor guest intoxication and take action or get help, if necessary.
  • Create and produce outstanding food.
  • Assisting with the tidying of tables and keeping the outlet areas neat and pleasant.
  • Assisting in snow removal, including moving tables and chairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness by keeping the bar and kitchen area clean and organized, including glassware, tools, and surfaces, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting in deliveries and trash removal.
  • Thorough knowledge of our menu and the resort as a whole is critical.
  • Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently. Turn in accurate deposits with end of shift reports.

Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Shovel snow
  • Perform setup and prep work, including opening lock ups and counting till and inventory
  • May bartend for group events and weddings
  • Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills:

License/Certifications - Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate, we will help you acquire. Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided)

Technical - Basic computer knowledge and comfortable with a computer based point of sale (Squirrel is our current system).

Physical Capabilities - Must ski or snowboard at an intermediate level to get to and from work.
Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Additional - Strong attention to detail. Must be capable of managing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication; plus basic math. Highschool diploma or GED preferred.

Minimum time in related position - Minimum 1+ year bartending experience with demonstrated competence; wine and beer knowledge preferred with demonstrated competence.

Equipment and Safety/Protective Equipment Used:

Helmet provided for skiing/riding from work. Will be operating a snowblower.
