This position will be remote in the United States or hybrid in our American Fork, UT office 1-2 days per week. Job Summary We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a newly created, mission-focused team building solutions that improve the lives of Henry Schein One users and their patients. This role begins as a player-coach and balances hands-on technical contributions with team leadership. This role will evolve into full management as the team grows. You'll set the tone by shaping technical strategy, mentoring engineers, and delivering high availability solutions.Early on, you'll contribute directly to initiatives while also recruiting and retaining top talent, creating a high-performing engineering team, and guiding engineers as they take ownership of their missions and delivery commitments. Our teams work with context, autonomy, and a focus on solving meaningful problems. We're raising the bar on deployment frequency and technical practices - shipping on demand, mastering scrum, and operating in 6-week cycles that balance innovation, technical debt, and customer needs. The posted range for this position is$120,000 - $165,000which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a bonus target not reflected in the range.
