What You'll Do
- Conduct current state reviews that include document review, client interviews and focus groups and co-create a roadmap with prioritized recommendations. Incorporate relevant client data (i.e., Patient experience, RN engagement and clinical quality NSIs) as part of overall analysis.
- Utilize tools, methodologies and proprietary PG data to support project team analyses and recommendations
- Synthesize and clearly present data and recommendations appropriately based on audience (including c-suite) and objectives
- Develop and execute engagement plans per department standards
- Plans, organizes and prioritizes engagement activities using engagement plans and Kantata Software to accurately track hours and work output.
- Coordinates engagement activities within nursing vertical and with other areas of consulting to complete work efficiently. Able to delegate and leverage appropriate internal and client resources.
- Develops nursing focused programmatic content as outlined and requested by leadership teams.
- Effectively presents established and custom programs and training to clients as outlined in client contract scope of work.
- Serves as a competent, effective member of a client engagement delivery team.
- Utilizes standard Press Ganey tools and methods in engagement delivery.
- Develops client deliverables, including reports and presentations.
- Communicate and present effectively to all areas of a healthcare system from c-suite to clinical teams.
- Communicate project risks and recommendations to engagement management and consulting leadership.
- Leads, coaches and coordinators members of the client engagement team in the scoping of specific tasks and timelines.
- Builds and manages successful client relationships generating positive client feedback on quality, value, innovation, delivery and results.
- Serves as the direct point of contact with the client and quickly establishes credibility for respective project work stream by proactively building a positive working relationship.
- Appropriately seeks client input and cooperation while ensuring project goals and deliverables are met within established timelines and budget parameters.
- Obtains client feedback and appropriately responds to client concerns throughout the engagement. Escalates to senior leadership if necessary.
- Assist in preparation of engagement proposals.
- Identifies and cultivates engagement expansion opportunities. Participate in sales pursuits as appropriate.
- Participates in engagement-based innovations.
- Contributes to thought leadership.
- Supports marketing activities through content development.
What You Bring
- Master of Science in Nursing and Doctorate preferred. If Masters or Doctorate is outside of Nursing, candidate must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
- 10+ years of healthcare experience with advancing leadership responsibilities.
- Experience at the nursing director level or above
- American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet expertise, i.e., experience as a Magnet Program Director or equivalent.
- Writing experience to Magnet standards a must.
- Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Professional Development and/or Nursing Education experience a plus.
- Previous consulting experience preferred.
- Possesses knowledge, skill or experience that further differentiates the consulting team or builds the capacity of the consulting team.
- High degree of verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness and ability to accurately gauge others to appropriately guide thinking and behavior, especially in difficult situations.
- Appropriately influencing and negotiating with clients and willingness to accept and integrate constructive feedback.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities at once with fast paced turnaround times.
- Flexible learning mind-set to fully understand and integrate Press Ganey methodology with a high level of critical thinking and ability to navigate ambiguous and dynamic circumstances and environments.
- Flexible to travel 50 - 75%
Location This role can be remotein the U.S. or based in our Chicago, Boston or South Bend hubs. For those in-office, we follow a hybrid model-Tuesdays through Thursdays in-office, with flexibility to work from home on other days and adjusted when traveling. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $140,000 - $172,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
