Location: Laurel, MD Onsite Employment Type: Part Time, contract to hire Hours: Monday through Thursday 7a-11a and Fridays 7a-3:30p ( 24 hours a week ) Are you passionate about patient care and thrive in a fast-paced medical environment? Key Responsibilities * Greet patients warmly with eye contact, a smile, and a welcoming attitude. * Guide new patients through paperwork and answer any questions they may have. * Register patients accurately and provide clear expectations for their visit. * Schedule appointments with empathy and attention to patient needs. * Conduct insurance authorizations and verifications with precision. * Collect co-pays and manage weekly money order procedures. * Maintain strong knowledge of clinic services to support patient care. * Track Medicare Plans of Care and ensure compliance. * Respond to patient, provider, and coworker inquiries promptly and positively. * Provide a fond farewell and ensure patients are informed about next steps. * Assist with general clinic upkeep and support your peers. * Embody and live the organization's values in every interaction. Required Skills & Qualifications * Minimum 1+ year experience in a medical front desk, general front desk, or customer service role. * Strong customer service skills both in person and over the phone. * Ability to multitask and manage a heavy workload efficiently. * Proficient in computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR). * Familiarity with insurance processes, co-pays, and patient demographics. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
