As a Security Professional - Unarmed Healthcare Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of assigned areas, staying highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to situations as they arise. You will also be expected to provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with all individuals on-site, and use technology such as computers or tablets as part of your daily duties. This position is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime
Sat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Sun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or hazardous conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and information as needed while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential issues.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and assisting with visitor management as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
