As a Security Officer - Armed Correctional Site - Morning Shift in Laurinburg, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, assisting in helping to deter security-related incidents, and remaining highly visible to create a reassuring presence. This is an armed post that requires you to carry a firearm while on duty. Additionally, this position requires driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies for the assigned government location.
• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by responding to inquiries and assisting as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or breaches.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual occurrences according to company and client protocols.
• Participate in emergency response activities as required by site policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and on-site staff to support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Hold a current armed guard card or license in accordance with state and/or local regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a valid driver's license and meet the Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
