As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting security-related operations within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom environment. Your primary responsibilities will focus on monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and helping to deter unauthorized access to the premises. You will conduct routine patrols of designated areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and respond promptly to requests for assistance. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Manage access control by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location, in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access within the tech, media, and telecom environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities as required by site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to provide assistance and relay important information as needed.
• Support emergency response activities and coordinate with site personnel and/or emergency responders during incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
