As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. You will interact with a diverse range of people, responding to inquiries and assisting with security-related matters as needed. This position requires you to be comfortable using technology, such as computers or tablets, to document incidents and communicate with your team. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license is required in line with Allied Universal's driver policy. Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or property damage encountered during patrols.
• Work collaboratively with retail staff and management to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits and/or verifying credentials as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required and candidates must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy Requirements for driving positions.
• Ability to lift up to or more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
