As a Security Professional - Distribution Site Patrol - Part Time in Torrance, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Screener with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution setting, you will play a critical role in maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will involve monitoring entry and exit points, conducting thorough screenings, and helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will interact with a diverse range of individuals, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication at all times. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required as you may be asked to operate company vehicles as part of your duties. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals entering or exiting the facility to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate to the site and post profile.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance as needed to visitors, employees, and/or contractors.
• Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
