CL Vendor Operations Supervisor

What you'll do:

As a CL Vendor Operations Supervisor you will lead and nurture relationships with our vendors who complete loan review analyst duties. They are responsible for the review of Conventional, Non-Conforming, FHA, USDA, and VA loan files to ensure loan files contain all required documentation, meet acceptable regulatory standards, and comply with established guidelines prior to purchase. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and an understanding of vendor oversight and loan review processes.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee vendor deliverables for Component 2 and Component 3 Loan Review, ensuring timely and accurate execution. Monitor and drive performance metrics: 95% productivity, 85% quality, 95% SLA completion, and <2% invalid stipulations. Identify and resolve performance issues, escalating as needed.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, coaching, training, and performance management. Foster a culture of continuous improvement focused on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Develop and present monthly business review materials and executive-level reporting. Create and enhance reporting tools to improve visibility, workflow management, and decision-making. Analyze data and gather requirements to recommend solutions that address business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental service levels, production goals, and quality standards. Audit loan files for accuracy and completeness of required reviews. Maintain web security protocols and data integrity across platforms. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure vendor compliance and project alignment. Lead meetings focused on performance tracking, approvals, and prioritization of tasks.

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of related experience in Mortgage Industry, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management or similar field.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending, including sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable federal and state regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices, including TRID, ECOA, HMDA, FCRA, Flood, HOEPA, HPML, Appraisal, ATR/QM, TCPA, UDAAP, and Fair Lending.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office products.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
