About the RoleAIS is seeking a dynamic Director or VP of Business Development to drive growth across our Commercial Business Unit by shaping go-to-market strategy, building high-value client relationships, and developing a high-performing business development organization. * Lead AIS's growth strategy for priority industries, defining target markets, GTM plans, and multi-year growth objectives * Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing BD team, instilling a performance culture grounded in ownership, curiosity, and accountability * Own pipeline development and revenue growth targets across a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise accounts * Develop and maintain executive-level client relationships across 100+ target accounts, leveraging industry networks and market insights * Shape and oversee strategic pursuits across AIS's core offerings: * Partner closely with AIS marketing, solution leaders, and delivery teams to drive integrated campaigns, account-based marketing, and solution shaping * Where applicable, cultivate executive relationships with hyperscaler and software platform partners (e.g., Microsoft, AWS) to accelerate co-sell opportunities * Ensure rigorous pipeline management, forecasting discipline, and executive reporting * Act as the executive voice of the customer internally, bringing market insights to shape AIS offerings and positioning Required Qualifications* 12-15+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or growth leadership roles in IT services or digital transformation consulting * Proven track record of driving multi-million-dollar new business growth in one or more of our target industries * Demonstrated success building and leading BD or sales teams with measurable revenue impact * Strong executive presence and consultative selling skills able to engage C-suite decision-makers and shape large strategic deals * Deep understanding of services-led transformation sales cycles and complex enterprise buying processes * Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, delivery, finance, and solution engineering to orchestrate high-stakes pursuits * Familiarity with cloud, AI, and digital platform-based delivery models and ability to articulate business value/ROI * Proficiency in CRM and sales management systems with disciplined pipeline hygiene and forecasting Preferred Qualifications* Established network and relationships in Power & Utilities, Manufacturing, Insurance, Capital Markets, or Defense Industrial Base * Experience leading AI and digital solution sales (GenAI copilots, analytics/ML, intelligent automation, voice AI, etc.) * Experience working for or closely with software/cloud platform companies (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Google) or their partner ecosystems, including exposure to go-to-market models, partner networks, and field sales collaboration * Experience driving bundled services sales (e.g., CSP licensing + onboarding + managed services) * Prior success standing up and scaling BD or sales teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management * Strong track record of executive collaboration, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership What We Offer* A pivotal role shaping the growth trajectory of a fast-growing, employee-owned, private equity-backed company Applied Information Sciences does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis.
