Job Responsibilities:

  • Correct improperly running dies to ensure even extrusion flow

    • Physical demand: light

  • Correct improperly running dies to ensure even extrusion flow and excel in latest correction practices

    • Physical demand: light


  • Maintain extrusion tolerances

    • Physical demand: light


  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized department/work area.
  • Lead, train, coach and develop team members.
  • Safely produce the highest possible quality products at the lowest possible cost.
  • Reach desired goals for housekeeping, safety, quality, COTD and production goals.
  • Ensure that the team members follow all company policies, practices and procedures.
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Demonstrated intensity and tenacious approach to working safely and understanding the critical link between safety and quality, especially from a workplace efficiency perspective.
  • 2 or more years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience correcting and repairing extrusion dies.
  • Ability to read blueprints, calipers, micrometers.
  • Knowledgeable on latest die design practices and technology.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in latest correction practices.
  • A good teacher to share best practices with team.
  • Working knowledge of aluminum extrusion.
  • CAD experience is a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge: Extrusion Process.
  • Language: Ability to communicate effectively, with fluency in English; ability to communicate effectively with Managers, Supervisor, and Peers.
  • People Management: Ability to encourage team to participate in process improvement and to achieve stated goals.
  • Physical Requirements: Must demonstrate the ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs; must have ability to perform essential functions of the job, which could include standing, bending, stooping, and climbing.
  • Skills: Team player; Self-starter; adaptable to change; ability to prioritize and work efficiently with
