Overview

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Information Systems/Network Administrator with demonstrated experience supporting DoD requirements at Pentagon (Arlington, VA).

The Information Systems/Network Administrator will support the Department of the Navy Special Access Programs Central Office (DONSAPCO) Information Technology Branch, Security Manager, and Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) at the Pentagon. The scope of work will include stand alone laptops as well as Modeling and Simulation system Local Area Networks (LAN).

    Support the Government IT Specialist with IT systems at the Navy facility and other SAPFs in the Pentagon and National Capitol Region (NCR).
  • Perform network management functions for guest systems.
  • Generate and manage user accounts.
  • Facilitate, track, and manage trouble tickets and IT related action items.
  • Ensure compliance with the current DoD and IC information management/information technology (IM/IT) guidance.
  • Assist the ISSO with cybersecurity support for interconnected servers, networking devices, and workstations.
  • Coordinate with external entities supporting classified networks.
  • Perform system development functions for assigned information technology systems.
  • Provide coordination and escorting for the maintenance, repair, updating, etc. for guest system(s).
  • Provide conference room video-teleconferencing support as needed.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of IT related documentation including, but not limited to Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), User Guides, and Security Assessment Plans.
  • Perform tasks and duties in support of the remediation of Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) action items.
  • Provide Media Control support including assured file transfers and destruction of electronic media.
  • Provide electronic hardware support to include validating the proper sanitization of all electronic hardware prior to release in accordance with approved SOPs.
  • Support security investigations with Government direction for system security incidents to inlcude providing assistance to the N9SP Security Manager.
  • Assist the ISSO in providing information technology and cyber security training and awareness support to include coordinating with the N9SP Security Manager to ensure relevant subjects are included as part of the annual security refresher training.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably working with classified systems
  • Security+ certification or equivalent for DoD 8570 compliance
  • Experience receiving, evaluating, prioritizing and assigning incoming user requests and trouble tickets.
  • Experience installing operating systems and applications, applying system and software updates and patches.
  • Technical understanding of a broad set of back office systems and applications (e.g., Windows operating systems, Active Directory, MS Office, internetworking, etc.).
  • Experience with configuration and maintaining networking devices
  • Clearance: Active Top Secret (SCI eligible)


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $91,600.00/Yr. - USD $153,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
