Position Responsibilities About This Role
Join Deltek as a Data Analyst and become the functional leader of data migration engagements that drive transformational outcomes for our clients. In this critical role, you'll bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring that data migrations are not only technically sound but strategically aligned with client objectives. You'll serve as the primary interface between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating intricate business needs into clear, actionable specifications while partnering closely with Data Developers to deliver successful project outcomes.

What You'll Do
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive source system analysis and data profiling to understand data structures, quality patterns, and embedded business rules
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather detailed requirements, clarify business logic, and validate transformation rules
- Perform thorough gap analysis between source and target systems to proactively identify data conversion challenges
- Create detailed functional specifications and comprehensive source-to-target mapping documents
Solution Design & Validation
- Design sophisticated data transformation logic and business rules for technical implementation
- Develop robust test scenarios and validation frameworks to ensure data integrity throughout migration processes
- Review and approve Data Developer SQL implementations against your functional specifications
- Collaborate on Airflow DAG configuration and setup, providing essential business context for proper orchestration
Quality Assurance & Stakeholder Management
- Lead comprehensive data reconciliation efforts and coordinate user acceptance testing with client stakeholders
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, partnering with Data Developers to implement targeted corrections
- Maintain clear communication channels with clients throughout the engagement lifecycle
Continuous Improvement & Mentorship
- Leverage and enhance reusable function libraries, providing actionable feedback on usability and suggesting improvements
- Champion the adoption of standardized tools and templates across the broader team
Qualifications Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in data migration or ETL projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience with SQL and data profiling tools
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders
- Experience with requirements gathering and functional specification documentation
- Understanding of data quality principles and validation methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools
- Background in enterprise software implementations or data migration projects
- Experience with data reconciliation and user acceptance testing coordination
- Knowledge of various database platforms and data integration patterns
- Project management or team leadership experience
- Familiarity with Deltek software solutions
- Must be knowledgeable in and utilize AI tools to help streamline tasks.

Compensation Information The U.S. salary range for this position is $68500.00 - $119750.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
