Advanced Practice Provider Inpatient Cardiac Surgery

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Adult Cardiac Surgery floor service. Patient population will include LVAD, Heart and Lung Transplant patients. APP and cardiac surgery experienced preferred. Will consider new grads with prior cardiology or cardiac surgery experience or clinical rotations. Work schedule is twenty 12 hour day shifts in a 6 week schedule with rotating weekends/holidays. Nurse Practitioner must be Acute Care.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

• Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
