As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will play a vital role in creating a secure and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the campus, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service through clear communication and professional presence. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings, facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or hazards to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives as required.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and helping to prevent unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting first responders as directed.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols and/or emergency situations in detailed and accurate written reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
