As a Security Professional - Government Facility Patrol in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment at a government location. In this unarmed patrol post, you will conduct regular patrols throughout assigned areas, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, responding to situations as they arise and supporting the overall mission of the location. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions provided by Allied Universal and the client location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
