Position description

It is anticipated there will be a need for Pre-Six Lecturers to teach lower-division courses in the Department of Physics and Astronomy during the 2025-26 academic year. Appointments are subject to availability of funding and final approval by the Dean of the College of Letters & Sciences.

Qualifications:

M.S. in physics or physics-related field is required. PhD in physics or physics-related field strongly preferred; college and/or university teaching preferred.

Description of Duties:

Duties will include teaching in lower division physics and/or astronomy lecture courses and labs.

A reasonable estimate for this position is $70,977-$89,913, commensurate with candidate's training and experience.

Dates Available:

Fall Quarter, September 22, 2025 - December 12, 2025;

Winter Quarter, January 2, 2026 - March 20, 2026;

Spring Quarter, March 26, 2026 - June 11, 2026
