Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Security Instrument Technician to work on our Physical Security Systems team. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our INTEC facility with every Friday off. You will perform complex installations and preventative and corrective maintenance on electronic security systems at our INTEC facility. You will report to the Sr. Manager of the Physical Security Systems department. Responsibilities:
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant experience, a relevant Vocational Certificate in technical discipline (electronic and pneumatic instrumentation theory, application, troubleshooting and repair technique) and 2 years of relevant experience, or a relevant Associate's degree.
- Depending on work assignment, within 3 months of hire, complete Radiological Worker Qualification requirements and maintain qualifications for duration of employment.
- Depending on work assignment, pass the Physical Security Systems Technician training qualifications and maintain qualifications for duration of employment.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Preferred Experience:
- Associate degree in technical discipline (electronic and pneumatic instrumentation theory, application, troubleshooting and repair technique), equivalent technical certification, or relevant military experience/certifications.
Job Information:
- The pay for this position is $45.42/hr. (Rate can vary based upon individual work location, clearances, and qualifications. Rates are accurate for current posting and subject to change These are bargaining unit positions.)
- HRP-Human Reliability Program: You will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and continued drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, use hands to handle materials or manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms; operate a motor vehicle or job-related equipment; and climb ladders and/or work in confined spaces. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
