Purpose of the Role

The Timekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely recording of workforce hours, supporting operational efficiency, compliance, and workforce planning across Worley's projects. This position contributes to the delivery of sustainable change by providing precise data that informs project performance, resource allocation, and financial reporting. By maintaining integrity in timekeeping processes, the Timekeeper helps Worley bridge traditional energy, chemicals, and resources work with our commitment to a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and maintain employee time and attendance records using Worley's timekeeping systems and processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Support project teams by validating time entries, identifying discrepancies, and providing clear guidance to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and People teams to ensure accurate workforce data is available for payroll and project cost reporting.
  • Generate timekeeping reports to support operational and financial decision-making, including labor tracking and forecasting.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of employee data while adhering to Worley's global standards and data protection policies.
  • Provide clear, professional communication when addressing inquiries or discrepancies related to timekeeping processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve timekeeping processes and tools, contributing to operational excellence and sustainability goals.
  • Ensure alignment of timekeeping practices with Worley's commitment to safety, quality, and the delivery of sustainable solutions for our customers.

Education and Experience

  • Secondary school education or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in timekeeping, payroll, or administrative support within a project-based or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of timekeeping systems and processes, with the ability to adapt to evolving digital tools and platforms.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in data entry, data retrieval, and reporting within time management or payroll systems.
  • Strong understanding of numerical calculations, including decimals, fractions, and basic mathematical formulas for time reporting and cost tracking.
  • Intermediate knowledge of organizational systems, processes, and tools related to workforce management.

Core Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing and validating time data.
  • Ability to identify and resolve timekeeping issues with limited options, using prior experience to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to work under general supervision, managing varied tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding Worley's values and ethical standards.

  • Experience working in an energy, chemicals, or resources environment.
