Job Title: Safety Representative

Location:Houma, LA

Position Overview:The Safety Representative will be responsible for conducting HSE inspections, recognizing hazards, performing HSE meetings, and maintaining the facility's handling, storage, and disposal of waste. The role also includes managing air, water, and dredge permits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct HSE inspections and recognize hazards.
• Perform HSE meetings to promote safety awareness and compliance.
• Maintain proper handling, storage, and disposal of waste materials.
• Manage air, water, and dredge permits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

• Must have six months of working experience in the HSE field or an Associate degree in Safety Technology, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
• Highly motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, etc.).
• Oracle experience is a plus.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize hazards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct effective HSE meetings.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
