Position Summary: Leads and contributes to all Internal Audit-related planning and testing activities, including follow-up and validation of management action plans. Supports both operational and SOX audits across the enterprise, engaging with all levels of management and consistently demonstrating the value of Internal Audit through effective communication, insight, and collaboration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assists in planning and scoping operational audits, including conducting research, performing risk assessments, analyzing financial data, and developing audit programs.

  • Completes testing and documentation of internal audit procedures in accordance with established timelines and quality standards.

  • Leads the follow-up and validation process for management action plans, coordinating with action plan owners and their supervisors to ensure timely resolution.

  • Collaborates with the Internal Audit team to validate completion and effectiveness of management action plans.

  • Develops streamlined and consistent reporting mechanisms to track and communicate the status of action plans.

  • Assists with SOX control testing and documentation as needed.

  • Evaluates audit and SOX deficiencies and ensures timely communication to Management and external auditors.

Experience & Education

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong internal audit and project management capabilities, with excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Attention to detail, a strong sense of accountability, and self-motivation are essential. This individual should be driven by a desire to create value across the organization and contribute meaningfully to continuous improvement efforts. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (Accounting, Finance, MIS).

  • CPA or CIA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of Internal Audit experience.

Skills & Abilities Required
  • Strong knowledge of internal audit standards and guidelines.

  • Familiarity with using AI best practices for assisting in Internal Audits

  • Familiarity with financial services regulatory requirements.

  • Understanding of SOX compliance requirements.

  • Insight into financial services and technology-related business processes.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally.

  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively, with a focus on building strong relationships with key business partners.
