SCOPE/CONTACTS:

As a member of the Support Team, the Network Administrator is responsible for collaborating with other infrastructure team members to analyze, install, configure and repair the entities which pertain to the network infrastructure. The administrator will need to possess a strong skill set working with Cisco based enterprise network infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance and security meet overall corporate objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support the network and voice infrastructure
  • Ability to set up, configure, and test devices in Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Call Manager Express, Unity Express, Cisco LAN switches (core, distribution and access), Cisco firewalls, routers and voice gateways, etc.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems
  • Assist in the management of projects using FFIN's project management methodology
  • Participate in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade converged voice/network solutions
  • Follow life-cycle oriented processes and procedures
  • Regularly interface with technical and business staff, including the project sponsor and stakeholders of projects in more complex engagements if needed
  • Ensure all infrastructure is appropriately monitored
  • Update documentation and diagrams, as improvements are made
  • Proactively develops plans and activities to avoid problems
  • Will be responsible for working trouble tickets to determine resolution
  • Will need to be able to abide by SLA criteria for accomplishing tasks

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of one-year related experience in infrastructure/network environments
  • Exposure to SDWAN solutions
  • Experience in supporting Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Unity
  • Concentrated Experience with router and switch configuration
  • Experience with PRI/SIP and H.323 endpoints
  • Understanding of VOIP protocols, QoS and CoS standards and policies
  • Experience with network load balancers is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of network virtualization technologies (VRF, VLAN, VSS, etc) is strongly considered
  • Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet business needs
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CCNP or CCIE Routing and Switching Preferred
