Quality Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

The Quality Laboratory Technician will perform routine and non-routine tests on in-process samples, finished products, ingredients and manufacturing supplies.

Essential Job Functions:

* Perform special tests and projects related to the operation as required

* Use, maintain, troubleshoot, and do minor repairs on standard laboratory apparatus for performing routine and non-routine analyses

* Perform analysis utilizing HPLC, pH, Brix, etc.

* Compare test results and disseminate information as required

* Input data into computer for the purpose of maintaining a permanent record of all finished analyses, out-of-specification report, and end of month report

* Compare test results with current specifications and advise supervisory and production personnel of problems and/or out-of-code situations. Make recommendations as to cause and resolution of problem * Evaluate results and independently ensure accuracy before alerting supervisory and production personnel

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED- required Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field preferred

Experience Level:

* 2-3 years related work experience preferred

* Ability to read, write and speak fluent English

* Basic computer skills * Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages

* Ability to interpret graphs and read measurements
