The candidate will work onsite at our Kansas City HQ with the Director of Procurement and Subcontracts to support the organization. Nature and Scope This position reports to the Director of Procurement and Subcontracts and may receive directions from other staff within the department. This position is expected to work on tasks both independently and as a team member to procure goods and services in compliance with applicable government and agency-specific requirements, perform price and costs analysis to ensure fair and reasonable pricing, and other tasks as assigned. Essential Functions * Interacts with colleagues and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. * Ability to effectively communicate expectations and interact with procurement, accounting and finance, and technical staff at all levels in a team-based environment. * Well organized and methodical, yet flexible in adjusting priorities, and able to take risks to accomplish goals. Success Factors * Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. * Ability to handle multiple tasks, work within and meet deadlines, pay attention to detail, and work in a team environment. * Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality. * Proficient computer skills with ability to learn new software and systems. Minimum Qualifications * College student in business or supply chain program. * Ability to work onsite at our Kansas City HQ Pay Range - $16 to $20 hourly. The salary range is intended as a general guideline and is not a guaranteed offer, as compensation depends on various factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market conditions.
