Capital Cravings by TCMA is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to join our team.

The Catering Manager will engage with clients to immediately develop a partnership, and work to understand client needs in order to help them make the best choices for their meetings and events.

Essential Functions


  • Attend BEO meetings and be prepared to discuss all details of upcoming meetings.
  • Contact clients within 24 hours of receiving inquiry.
  • Ask client appropriate questions to fully understand the goals and objectives of the meeting/event.
  • Inform client of the due dates for menu choices, guarantees, etc.
  • Ensure all questions on the Event Planning checklist have been covered and answered.
  • Accurately enter all information into the Event Management System, (EMS).
  • Consult with Chef and/or General Manager for special requests and pricing as needed.
  • Conduct site visit with client if appropriate.
  • Introduce A/V personnel to client as needed.
  • Assist client with menu planning, room set-up and all other aspects of the event/meeting.
  • Develop and maintain a positive rapport with our clients and establish a consultative relationship to assist client to a positive outcome
  • Send estimate of charges to client in a timely manner and follow-up clients to ensure that they received their approval.
  • Check event rooms for correctness one hour prior to event start time.
  • Meet client at room whenever possible.
  • Follow up with client within 24 hours after meeting/event, solicit feedback and send the invoice.
  • Once payment has been made, close out invoice


Job Requirements

  • Five years' experience in event planning/operations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of event planning and execution
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office


Environment

  • Able to stand/walk for extended periods
  • Able to enter data for extended periods
