What you will do

The strategic role overview for an Inventory Analyst is to position the organization for sales growth by managing inventory strategically. You will do this through optimizing the ERP parameters for transactional efficiency. Collaborate with materials, warehousing, and production to align stock profiles. Maintain appropriate weeks of supply and analysis based on demand. Review and disposition distressed inventory (SMOD). Utilizing critical thinking skills to find root causes and correct. Escalate unresolved issues like late deliveries or warehouse constraints.

How you will do it

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work with materials, warehouse, and production teams.

  • Address slow moving items (FG & Raw).

  • Hold meetings to review inventory and sales of SKU's.

  • Ensure underperformance areas are addressed, and opportunities are shared.

Cycle Count Recording and Reporting (KPI - Cycle Count Accuracy)

  • Maintain Cycle Count (CC) Master Log in Excel including daily/monthly details.

  • Calculate and report financial/unit accuracy percentages.

  • Report JCMS adherence to management and corporate daily/monthly to obtain yearly PI waiver.

  • Manage all CC data in Excel and prepare details for yearly audit.

Inventory Issues Management and Research

  • Investigate all transaction types including Receipts, Backflush, Scrap, Transfers, Shipments, Adjustments, and Outside Processing.

  • Generate multiple reports from JDEdwards to verify inventory integrity.

  • Research discrepancies found through reports, finance, or operations requests.

  • Determine root causes, notify users, and suggest best practice changes.

JDEdwards System Processes

  • Process reservation releases upon user request.

  • Unlock reservations and verify system accuracy.

ST/OT Process Management

  • Conduct daily FG-LD audit, research, and correct discrepancies.

  • Verify open ST/OTs related to component requests, recalls, etc.

New Part Introduction (NPI)

  • Manage new part number setups for branch 3100 in MDM/item master/item branch.

  • Make changes/updates to specific data points.

BOM and Router Management

  • Input new BOM/Routers for manufacturing based on SharePoint part creation.

  • Manage updates based on change requests from manufacturing engineering.

Excess and Obsolete (E&O) Inventory Management

  • Analyze manufacturing items using LeanDNA and finance suggestions.

  • Create MDFs for approval and signoffs.

  • Generate physical pull lists and coordinate disposal with piece parts team.

  • Create adjustment transactions in ERP to update inventory.

What we look for:

  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 Years suggested minimum experience.

  • Able to negotiate win/win situations

  • Prioritize key tasks to support sales growth

  • Able to interface effectively with sales, operations and factory leadership to communicate inventory plan and raise issues that need to be resolved.

  • Able to empathize and be responsive with customers (both internal and external)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent computer and data analysis/management skills

  • Ability to handle uncertainty and a tolerance for revising work based on changes in assumptions or conditions

  • Knowledge and ability to navigate JCI Business Processes

  • Experience with SAP

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $62,000-91,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, andabilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) This position includes a
