Goldbelt Professional Services specializes in providing expert resources for Public Health missions including scientific, technical, and administrative support from junior staff to high-level subject matter experts. Research and data driven, Goldbelt Professional Services' experts create solutions customized to the client's needs. Summary: We seek a Program Manager (PM) to work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will be placed as a GPS contractor at a CDC facility. CDC is the nation's premier health promotion, prevention, and preparedness agency. The Program Manager will report to GPS senior leadership and be responsible for the day-to-day management of various projects and tasks, overseeing the execution of timely, high-quality deliverables for the client.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Compiles data and prepares periodic and special reports on personnel actions, staffing, staff-year usage, and related activities.
- Oversees functional area operations and project portfolios, ensuring alignment and interdependence across teams.
- Identifies cross-functional connections and proposes integration strategies to enhance collaboration.
- Provides technical and administrative oversight, reviewing work for accuracy, strategic alignment, and timely progress.
- Coordinates with CDC officials to manage risks, resolve issues, and achieve program milestones.
- Defines management, scientific, and business challenges and develops procedures to address them.
- Applies analytical skills to assess requirements and propose alternative solutions.
- Collaborates with Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs) and technical monitors to review requirements and develop support plans.
- Serves as the primary client liaison for CDC programs, maintaining daily communication with stakeholders.
- Builds and sustains peer relationships with subject matter experts, partners, and stakeholders to meet deliverables.
- Leads program development, budgeting, and performance evaluation efforts.
- Supports work breakdown structures and earned value management metrics.
- Advises clients on executing programmatic requirements.
- Proactively identifies and resolves issues affecting project deliverables.
- Operates effectively under emergency response conditions with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Assists in developing strategies for managing health equity-focused projects.
- Provides input on hiring and HR-related decisions.
- Contributes to resource mobilization in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepares and submits narrative and financial reports in coordination with program leads.
- Enhances public health and safety collaborations through partner engagement, data collection, and dissemination of findings.
- Maintains specialized knowledge of relevant datasets.
- Acts as point of contact in the absence of team members.
- Supports program-related contracts and agreements.
- Develops and monitors goals, policies, strategic plans, and governance to align with departmental SOPs.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays to meet government task requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree with 10 or more years of relevant experience, a master's degree in a related field with 5 or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience .
- The position requires the ability to demonstrate diplomacy and work professionally and collegially with a highly educated, scientific customer base that is under pressure and in the public eye every day.
- Prior experience working with the CDC is required to understand the culture and environment.
- Professional experience in public health and in a program management role or, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and leadership. Philanthropic, nonprofit or government, and/or public health leadership required.
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and engaging in strategic partnerships, demonstrating and prioritizing customer service and leadership.
- Be local to the Atlanta area and be able to work at the client site as needed.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDC clearance.
Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 annually. At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
