Sr. HR Manager

Location: Hybrid - Travel (40%) - Birmingham, AL

Travel Locations: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee

Annual Compensation: $95,000.00 DOE

The Regional HR Manager serves as a strategic partner to operations leadership, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, compliance, and talent development. This role supports both local and national HR initiatives, ensuring alignment with AMR's mission and core values.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise management on employee relations, labor issues, and policy interpretation.
  • Support investigations, grievances, arbitrations, and negotiations in coordination with HR leadership and legal counsel.
  • Conduct exit interviews and develop strategies to reduce turnover and improve morale.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Maintain Affirmative Action Plans and respond to OFCCP audits.
  • Assist with leave administration and employee access to HR systems.
  • Provide coaching and guidance on performance management and corrective actions.
  • Deliver leadership training and executive coaching.
  • Support succession planning and development of direct reports.
  • Conduct salary reviews and approve increases within budget and policy.
  • Partner with operations to implement employee recognition programs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Payroll, Benefits, and IT.
  • Promote information security awareness and compliance.

Qualifications:
Education & Industry Experience

  • Preferred:
    • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree and HR certifications (PHR).
    • FAA experience
    • Experience in union environments and multi-site operations preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience across key disciplines including employee relations, compensation, compliance, and training.
