The Tennessee Department of Correction operates and oversees 14 adult prisons across the state, housing some 21,000 offenders. In the community, TDOC supervises 79,000 offenders on probation, parole, or community corrections. The department operates 44 probation/parole offices in 13 districts across the state. How you make a difference in this role: The Tennessee Department of Correction operates safe and secure prisons and provides effective community supervision in order to enhance public safety. Job Overview: The TDOC Special Agent position is assigned to the Office of Investigations and Conduct (OIC) Investigations Unit (IU) and is the law enforcement branch of the TDOC. The Special Agent possesses statewide law enforcement authority to con-duct both criminal and administrative investigations of offenses relative to or affecting the TDOC. These investigations will require the Special Agent to work cases in TDOC facilities including prisons and regional community supervision offices. Key Responsibilities:
