Job Posting Title: Marketing and Communications Coordinator---- Hiring Department: Moody College of Communication---- Position Open To: All Applicants---- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40---- FLSA Status: Exempt---- Earliest Start Date: Oct 15, 2025---- Position Duration: Expected to Continue---- Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS---- Job Details: PurposeThe Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas is a global leader in training and outreach for journalists, with more than 20 years of experience helping strengthen journalism and press freedom around the world, and in Latin America and the Caribbean particularly. Housed in the Moody College of Communication at UT Austin, the Knight Center offers free and low-cost multilingual courses, webinars, and resources through its three main programs: Journalism Courses, the International Symposium on Online Journalism (ISOJ), and the trilingual digital magazine LatAm Journalism Review (LJR). The Center works with media organizations globally to expand access to training, foster innovation, and support journalism worldwide. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will support the Knight Center by helping to showcase the Center's programs and create and execute strategies to expand its global reach. This person will contribute to the success of the Center by ensuring that its programming reaches as many people as possible. Job Duties and Responsibilities

Monday through Friday (8 Hours/Day) is typical. However, there may be the opportunity for future remote work. There may also be times when the work schedule will extend beyond standard office hours based on specific business needs, including occasional weeknights and weekends. Salary Range$51,000 Working ConditionsMay work around standard office as well as studio audio equipment. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Frequent standing and sitting and the use of manual dexterity. Lift and move standard office files and supplies. Various conditions for reporting in the field. Work hours may include occasional evenings, weekends and some holidays during peak periods to meet deadlines.Final candidate will be required to pass a background check prior to starting employment.
