Qualifications Requirements: * Minimum of 5 years of experience as a propulsion analysis engineer * Experience in applying physics and the laws of thermodynamics to advanced materials for aircraft systems. * Must be familiar with gas dynamics equations and principles, gas turbines engine operation, and CFD analysis. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Previously demonstrated strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and organization skills. * Be a self-starter and have demonstrated high levels of resourcefulness, initiative, and innovation. Education: * Bachelor's of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related course of study from an ABET accredited program. * Requires educational credentials meeting the Spirit classification standards for engineers and typically 5-8 years of experience with BS degree or 4+ years of experience with a MBA in an engineering classification. Preferred: * Desired to have proficiency in the use of CATIA, AutoCAD and Patran/Nastran or similar CAD & FEA software. * Desired to have ability to determine cavity pressures using software tools such as Flo-Master or Easy5, etc. * Desired to have knowledge of Aerodynamics, CFD. * Desired to have test experience. * An interest in aircraft ice prevention analysis and system design. * An interest in thermal analysis of aircraft structures.
