Tesla is accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy, and the Tesla Energy Installation Team delivers high-quality energy products such as Solar Roof, Retrofit Solar, and Powerwall across the United States. The Quality Department ensures that services and products meet design intent, creating beloved products while reducing organizational spend by identifying inefficiencies through containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Within Tesla Energy's Customer Operations Quality Department, this role focuses on supporting residential energy business operations by continuously improving process and product quality. The Quality Engineering Team operates globally to review defects, assess risks, establish control plans, and define audit criteria based on product specifications. This position seeks a problem-solver with a strong quality and customer-focused mindset, driven by relentless improvement, to enhance customer experience through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as subject matter expert for customer experience metrics and measurement methods
  • Function as point of contact for understanding customer voice across residential energy products
  • Work cross-functionally with global teams to establish unified customer voice vision and metrics
  • Collaborate with software team to build AI models that streamline insights discovery and connect to existing business indicators
  • Analyze customer comments and metric trends to suggest tangible improvements
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance customer experience
  • Track quality performance metrics and drive improvement activities with cross-functional teams

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in analytics or customer insights, preferably in technology industries
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically (5-10%)
  • Knowledge of residential energy systems and voice of customer methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with knowledge of SQL, Python, or R as an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends and patterns

    Expected Compensation
    $108,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
