Job Description

Under supervision from a crew leader, performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled work in maintaining production readiness of plant equipment.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Check coolant concentrations in CNC machines and coolant recycling systems.
  • Monitor installed oil skimmers for proper operation, change filters as needed.
  • Monitor coolant, oil and cleaning supply inventory and order when needed.
  • Maintain coolant recycling systems in operational condition.
  • Monitor and assist with waste coolant disposal.
  • Monitor scrap chip recycling equipment for proper operation.
  • Monitor, remove and replace chip bags from recycling equipment as needed.
  • Monitor and empty chip bins into to correct recycling equipment.
  • Assemble boxes for solid scrap recycling and store full boxes correctly.
  • Label all recycling bags and boxes for proper recycling.
  • Assist in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of coolant and chip recycling equipment as needed.
  • Assist maintenance department personnel with projects and repair tasks as assigned.
  • Contribute to shop cleanliness
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What key skills and experience do I need?

  • Very dependable and responsible.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to withstand all weather variations, due to primarily working outdoors.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various facility and recycling systems. Some mechanical ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment is required.
Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Requires previous forklift experience. Senior Aerospace AMT will re-administer its own training and certification.
  • Requires knowledge and use of basic hand tools.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to be continuously standing and walking throughout the workday.

Salary Offering:$23.00 per hour to $27.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Thursday 4:30pm to 3:00am
