West Virginia University School of Nursing invites applications for a Non-Tenure, Clinical Practice Track Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor. This is a full-time (1.0), 12-month, benefits eligible position to teach in and serve as the track coordinator of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Post-Masters certificate program. This position will report to the chairperson of the Family and Community Health Department.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Serving as the track coordinator of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Post-Masters certificate program
• Teaching in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Post-Masters certificate program including content related to the role psychiatric nurse practitioner in online classrooms and other formats
• Participates in the development and delivery of graduate nursing education
• Serves as a student mentor
• Assesses and evaluates clinical preceptors, providing support for professional development and serving as a mentor
• Participates in and provides service leadership to School of Nursing committees

• Successful candidates will hold at least one (1) graduate degree in nursing with an earned doctorate in nursing preferred
• Board certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner from an approved certifying body and WV licensure as an advanced practice registered nurse is required
• At least two (2) years of delivering primary care as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority required, with three (3) years or more of experience preferred
• Prior teaching experience, inclusive of serving as adjunct or clinical preceptor to graduate nursing students, preferred

Rank and salary commensurate with education, professional background, and experience.

Required to have unencumbered WV RN License by position start date.
