As a Rotational Administrative Intern, you'll... Tessera's Rotational Administrative Intern is a 6-month internship designed for early-career professionals or students exploring career pathways in administrative business functions. This immersive experience allows interns to shadow and work across six core departments: Finance, Operations, People (HR), Workforce Development, Business Systems, and/or Marketing/Communications depending on strengths and interest.

The program includes structured weekly objectives, mentor support, and multiple site visits to give interns hands-on exposure to real-world work environments. Interns will finish the program with a better understanding of their career interests and the skills required for various administrative and operational roles in mission-driven organizations. This is a temporary position and is not expected to exceed 6 months.

  • Participate in a 1-week onboarding and company overview led by Workforce Development.

  • Spend weeks in each of the following departments (depending on strengths and interest):

  • Finance: Learn budgeting, reporting, and accounting practices.

  • Operations: Understand procurement, logistics, and safety coordination.

  • People (HR): Observe hiring, onboarding, and employee relations practices.

  • Workforce Development: Explore coaching, training, and career pathway design.

  • Business Systems: Gain exposure to IT support, systems integration, and data tools.

  • Marketing/Communications: Contribute to branding, digital content, and outreach.

  • Attend five on-site visits to see how different functions support field operations.

  • Complete weekly learning objectives and submit reflection journal entries.

  • Participate in intern check-ins, department debriefs, and a final presentation.

  • Build a portfolio of tasks and contributions completed during the program.

  • Identify key responsibilities and workflows within each administrative department.

  • Describe how different departments collaborate to achieve organizational goals.

  • Recognize career pathways in nonprofit or mission-driven environments.

  • Demonstrate professional communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • All Other Duties as Assigned.

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Tessera Rotational Administrative Intern:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Must be able to commit to a 6-month internship, with consistent weekly availability.

  • Strong communication skills is preferred.

  • A valid state driver's license is preferred, but not required.
