Purpose of Position

Primary responsibility of the role is the timely creation and maintenance of customer master records in SAP, including but not limited to account hierarchy, customer account information and related pricing, standing or blanket purchase orders as it applies to customer agreement clauses. Provide the new customer the Messer "Customer Welcome Package" and ensure that the customer understands who they need to contact.

Assisting the customer service/dispute management team in the resolution of customer complaints.

The salary range for this position is $52,000 - 76,000 USD . Messer provides medical, dental, vision, short term disability, life insurance and paid time off as well as other voluntary benefits, such as, long term disability in accordance with the terms and conditions of these Plans. Employees are eligible to enroll in Messer's 401(k) Plan. Employees may be eligible to participate in the company's bonus program

Principal Responsibilities

Account Creation and Maintenance -Salesforce & SAP systems:



  • New Customer Account creation: Based on Tasks assigned by sale reps (occasionally email notifications are also sent), process the requests in relevant system (Sales force and or SAP)
  • Create and update SAP, and guarantee data consistency with new/changes to account set-ups in compliance with customer master process, pricing, and set up of standing or blanket customer purchase orders in compliance with the customer master process.
  • Following update in SAP - the Salesforce task needs to be updated and the opportunity status to be updated as complete.


Customer Account Changes and updates:



  • Maintain an existing account based on either a new agreement or amendment Start the close account process based on a "closed/remove" opportunity status.
  • Agreement data management & Pricing Controls
  • Create/Maintain customer agreements details in SAP according to the onboarding customer master process to ensure master data integrity.
  • Audit prior day's pricing updates (new and changes) for all customers (reasonableness of pricing levels, UOM, materials, rental and fee generator)
  • Analyze and enter all list and special pricing of gases, rental services, surcharges and bulk in accordance to the signed agreement and/or adhoc notifications from Sales executive.
  • Manage rental charges (as part of the pricing) creation and changes.
  • Customer Contacts in a Saleforce opportunity it should be added to SAP customer master data
  • Support the resolution of customer complaints working with the Query & Complaint/Dispute Management group
  • Support all Quality policies or Other work/ projects as assigned by supervisor Support and execute data cleansing activities defined by the Data Governance



Required Skills



  • Telephone presence
  • Experience communicating with customers in all media (phone, email, chat etc) Knowledge of salesforce or other CRM systems


General sales process



  • Self-motivated and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change
  • Flexible to the needs of the business during peak activities; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.



Basic Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years experience Customer Service and Administration or General Accounting



Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor Degree preferred, Business Administration
