Cloud Architect 100% on-site Possess Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility National Capital Region (NCR) Alexandria, VA Nationwide IT Services is seeking a full-time Cloud Architect for a potential opportunity to support the Department of Defense Office (DoD), Inspector General (OIG), and Information Technology Support Services (ITSS). The DoD OIG mission is to detect and deter fraud, waste, and abuse in DoD programs and operations; promote the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of the DoD; and help ensure ethical conduct throughout the DoD. The DoD OIG keeps the Secretary of Defense and Congress informed of fraud, waste, abuse, and program deficiencies identified through its oversight work. The DoD OIG's administrative and criminal investigators, auditors, evaluators, and support staff operate globally, conducting investigations, audits, evaluations, and mission support activities to accomplish the DoD OIG's mission. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform technical assessments of the current operational OIG data center and cloud environments, networks, technologies, tools, and processes to identify improvement opportunities. Recommend, plan, and implement solutions that will improve the OIG data center and cloud operations through optimization and automation. Optimize current operational OIG networks, systems, and applications necessary to ensure optimal performance is maintained while keeping data center and cloud resource costs to a minimum. Automate data center and cloud activities and processes necessary to ensure efficient and effective data center and cloud operations by simplifying repeatable processes, reducing human error, and reducing cost. Perform and support activities associated with the maintenance and support of DoD OIG's hybrid cloud services and infrastructure platforms, including management for the Public Cloud Service Provider (IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS) and/or 3rd party Cloud Service Provider offered platforms and services. Job Qualifications: Possess current Security Clearance of TS with SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related engineering discipline. Prefer a master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 7 years' experience with cloud migration projects.
