As a Digital Design Engineer at Cirrus Logic, you will be part of a collaborative team developing high-performance mixed-signal IC's serving the world's top consumer electronics manufacturers. In this position, you will contribute to the design of SOCs controlled by ARM MCUs, serial communication interfaces, high-performance ADC's and DAC's, digital signal processing blocks, and other digital circuitry in advanced CMOS processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Work in a team environment to create and engineer digital design subsystems from concept through to tape-out
  • Convert subsystems into final designs for integration into the final product
  • Support post-silicon activities including validation, characterization, and product test
  • Design and develop a variety of digital and DSP IP blocks
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering and 8+, Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering and 5+, or PhD in electrical or computer engineering and 3+ years of proven experience in digital design engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of Verilog RTL language
  • Deep understanding of the digital design flow from architecture, RTL design, clock domain/reset domain crossing, verification, timing constraints, and synthesis
  • Experience designing and verifying complex state-machines
  • Organized and detailed with strong communication skills
  • Possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Results-oriented and thrive in a dynamic environment
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of high-level modeling tools like Simulink, Matlab, or similar
  • Understanding of control theory and discrete time, z-domain, signal processing techniques
  • Familiarity with FIR and IIR filter design
  • Experience with mixed-signal design, simulation, and verification
  • Experience with back-end flow including synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis
  • Experience generating functional test vectors for PTE
  • Basic understanding of CMOS transistors
  • Strong lab and silicon validation skills
