Your Job Koch Ag & Energy Solutions is seeking a motivated Process Controls Intern to join our team! This internship is ideal for students who want hands-on experience in automation, process optimization, and plant technology while working alongside experienced engineers and operators. You'll learn how control systems keep a large-scale manufacturing facility running safely, efficiently, and reliably - and you'll have opportunities to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. What You Will Do As an intern in this role, you will: Assist with development, support, and maintenance of automated process control applications that enhance plant performance. Help monitor and troubleshoot process control hardware (workstations, servers, instrumentation). Participate in control scheme reviews and assist with updating documentation. Shadow engineers and operators to understand DCS (Distributed Control System) functions and safety instrumented systems. Support process improvement projects, from data collection to implementation. Learn how to conduct root cause analysis of process control issues and explore solutions. Participate in training sessions on control concepts and plant operations. Locations Offered Enid, OK St. James, LA Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Enrolled in a degree or alternative program. (e.g., 4 year college program, 2 year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.) Eligible for full-time employment before or by May 2028. Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) What Will Put You Ahead Coursework or experience with process control systems, automation, or instrumentation. Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Instrumentation & Electrical Technology or a related field. Familiarity with DCS systems (e.g., Emerson DeltaV). Interest in chemical manufacturing or large-scale industrial processes. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
