About the Role

The Yield Utilization Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory by administering the cycle count process, leading physical inventories, analyzing data to identify trends, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions. The individual will lead project improvements to ensure best-in-class inventory management.

What You Will Do
  • Use inventory management systems to track trends, analyze inventory, and generate reports on stock performance.
  • Safeguard ERP and MES systems accuracy by maintaining comparison reports and inventory roll forwards, ensuring variances are documented and addressed by responsible personnel promptly.
  • Verify accurate scrap inventory, movements (waste and recycling), reconciliation processes to maintain FTZ compliance on zone materials, and the timely reporting of those activities to the FTZ administrator.
  • Ensure the prompt and accurate disposition of quality hold and obsolete inventory.
  • Responsible for administering the cycle count process, analyzing cycle count results, investigating variances, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead cycle count personnel, provide training, and coordinate the workload distribution.
  • Coordinate required physical inventories including pre-planning, lineside and warehouse preparations, documentation, supplies, training, day-of-count activities, and audit compliance.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports to management about inventory statuses, discrepancies, trends, and potential issues or opportunities.
  • Document cycle count process in relation to the production process flow to ensure accuracy and efficiency of counts.
  • Analyze the cost implications of inventory decisions, aiming to minimize carrying costs while maximizing service levels.
  • Responsible for inventory activities supporting month-end closing, including addressing inventory errors and posting cycle counts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory control practices are being followed and assist in continuous improvement initiatives, raising the awareness of inventory practices and the importance of accuracy.
  • Support safety and 5s programs throughout the warehouse and lineside locations by working with the various departments to identify and correct problems as they arise.
  • Maintain inventory and warehouse labeling standards to support facility operations and avoid transactional errors.
  • Audit parts locations to ensure optimal warehouse utilization.
  • As necessary, provide inventory process and systems training to new hires.
  • As necessary, other related duties of which the above are representative.
Qualifications
What You Need
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or related field. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, at least 5 years of related experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes and procedures.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • SAP or similar enterprise resource planning application experience.
  • Basic knowledge of principles, concepts, practices and standards related to supply and logistics system information management.
  • The understanding and ability to prepare statistical analysis according to established forecasting methodologies using associated system software and information.
  • Working knowledge of word processors, sApreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
What is "Nice to Have"?
  • Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility.
  • Experience working within a foreign trade zone.
  • Experience with MES and WMS applications.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic.
