Description

1. Maintains good customer relations, includes prompt response to customer requests and maintaining frequent customer contact. Conducts annual customer satisfaction surveys to measure and track customer satisfaction levels. Acts as "our customer's best service provider" at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer's first choice for installation and service. Develops and implements operations strategies that improve execution and provide additional value to customers in a cost effective manner.



2. Oversees large teams of colleagues including Project Managers and/or Service Coordinators with all elements of job management, including projected costs/cost control, subcontracts, Certificates of Insurance, man-power planning and scheduling, preparation of invoices, material procurement, material handling and collections. Proactively communicates project schedules, project change proposals and related project activities on a regular basis with customer and seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction.



3. Reviews booking packages for correctness, assign project managers to projects and provide them with a project folder.



4. Assists the Operations Manager in planning and scheduling installation contracts, material procurement, preparation of invoices, and collections.



5. Utilizes financial systems to review actual vs estimated contract cost and to provide timely and accurate financial reports. Helps maintains accurate and up to date job cost records, master project folders and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports.



6. Responsible for the administration of jobsite operations which may include: estimating, pricing, quoting, order processing, payroll processing, billings and/or collections. Processes all credit card payments.



7. Helps develop and implement operations strategies that improve installation and service delivery and provide additional value to customers in a cost effective manner.



8. Manages the CTC vehicle fleet to include company tools, inspections, gas usage and inventory.



9. Manages and control service stock inventory.



10. Effectively communicates project requirements to project team and wider organization as and when required, and maintains accurate and up to date records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports.



11. Supervises Project Managers, Service Coordinators and other team members. Supervises in a manner that maintains morale, skills proficiency and productivity. Recruits and hires team members as required. May perform limited range of managerial responsibilities including but not limited to: mentoring, coaching and developing colleagues; planning, assigning and directing work; performance management; project budget. May oversee subcontractor selection process and work.



12. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Education Requirements:



  • Two-year technical degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree desirable



Experience Requirements:



  • Minimum of five years of previous, relevant engineering, field or project management experience preferred
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or healthcare
  • Previous project supervisory experience required


Certifications & Licenses:



  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred; industry-specific certifications and/or licenses required; must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
