Hourly Pay Range:

$46.64 - $72.29 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • Required Travel: local travel to other corporate sites, hospitals will be required.

Job Summary:

As a Clinical Informatics Specialist at Endeavor Health, you will provide expertise in health informatics, acting as a bridge between clinical leadership and Information Technology (IT) teams. You will lead discussions, translate complex clinical nuances for IT professionals, and communicate IT capabilities in a user-friendly language to clinicians and operations throughout our integrated healthcare delivery system. As a change agent, you will influence cultural shifts to improve clinician satisfaction, transform personalized patient care, maximize efficiency and usability, foster innovation, and advance healthcare technology.

Functions as a liaison and communicator between clinical leadership and Information Technology Department. Supports and promotes the EMR project to other providers, clinicians and administrators. Leads translation of clinical workflows to IT and IT capabilities to clinical staff. May serve on workgroups and committees. System expert to identify and suggest solutions to gaps in IT system functionality. Competent to work at the highest level in all phases of clinical IT workflow development.

What you will do:

  • Leads projects with operational and IT staff on workflow analysis and process redesign associated with process improvement initiatives.
  • Works both independently and leads operational and IT staff on workgroups and committees as needed or requested.
  • Leads discussion of innovative ways to use the system to solve problems. Actively involved in prototyping.
  • Leads system build design and testing activities.
  • Provides support to peers, colleagues and leadership.
  • Coordinates with IT team for enhancement requests, discerning urgency and addressing each in an efficient, organized, professional manner. Coordinates the resolution of different problems where additional resources are needed.
  • Assists operations in identifying IT system modifications to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies and recommends software modifications or additional technologies to increase the capacity or efficiency.
  • Actively champions and promotes the EMR use and optimization throughout the organization.
  • Serves as a leading change agent for cultural changes to improve clinician workflow and patient safety.
  • Assists in analysis of new technologies.

Domain Specific Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize population health workflows, registries, and systems to support care gap closure, risk stratification, and preventative care for defined patient populations.
  • Develop and implement performance measurement strategies aligned with value-based care, regulatory programs, and health equity goals across clinical and operational teams.
  • Transform population health and quality data into actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and performance monitoring tools that inform targeted interventions.
  • Ensure data integrity and standardization by identifying gaps, supporting remediation efforts, and collaborating with IT and data governance teams.
  • Contribute to the selection, configuration, and user-centered adoption of measurement and reporting platforms, ensuring alignment with clinical priorities and usability best practices.
  • Advance smart, integrated systems by aligning measurement and population health tools with EHR workflows, analytics platforms, and digital health solutions to support scalable and coordinated care delivery.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Experience: 7+ years of related healthcare experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Unique or Preferred Skills:
  • Strong working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR), ServiceNow, Clinical Decision Support (CDS) tools, data analysis, and clinical documentation requirements
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, regulatory requirements, standards, and ontologies like HITECH, JCAHO, and SNOMED
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication with a customer service orientation
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and facilitate agendas, minutes, slides, and summaries of informatics and governance meetings
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, project management, problem-solving, and decision-making with a data-driven approach
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, autonomously manage work independently or as part of a team, provide informal guidance and exercise limited discretion under general direction
