Description Acara Solutions has been providing aerospace firms throughout the U.S. with our staffing services for over 60 years. Our Sacramento, CA region international aerospace client (metal machine shop) is looking for multiple direct Machinists to join their organization. They have 1st and 2nd shift openings. Due to growth, they just started a 2nd shift (4:00 PM to 1:30 AM). 1st shift hours are 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Both are Monday - Friday 45 hours a week positions, including 5 hours of OT pay.
If the candidate is outside of the region, there is a sign-on bonus of up to $5K to help with relocation. If local, there is a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
The hourly rate:
2-5 years exp = $28 - $32.50/hr (+10% shift differential for 2nd shift)
5+ years exp = $32 - $38/hr (+10% shift differential for 2nd shift)
The CNC Machinist produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications:
High School or GED
Min 2 years of CNC lathe and round parts experience
- Including knowledge of GD&T and mechanical skills. Knowledge of various inspection equipment i.e. micrometers, calipers, and height gages; Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations; Knowledge of Geometric Dimensional Tolerancing; Understanding of cutting tool Geometry; Knowledge of tooling and coordination
This is an ITAR facility, U.S. Persons required.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Experience with 8 or 10 inch chucks
CNC mills experience
CNC G Code experience
