The Demand Planning Manager is a member of the Global Demand Planning leadership team that is responsible for developing a demand plan, chairing S&OP, and executing a multi year strategic road map to achieve business objectives for a revenue portfolio in excess of $800M. Job Description

In this role you will manage team of ~3 Demand Planning Analysts - Responsible for hiring, managing, training, developing and evaluating the team. Oversees team to ensure they are appropriately utilizing systems, following standard work processes, completing required tasks accurately and within established deadlines. Monitors progress to goals and supports resolution of issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecast Accuracy - create and implement processes to achieve best in class performance

  • Demand Stability - identify practices that cause gyration to the supply base and systematically resolve

  • Inventory - Collaborate with Supply Planning to achieve inventory targets

  • Excess & Obsolescence - Collaborate with Supply Planning to mitigate opportunities

  • Sales & Operations Planning - Drive alignment with Sales, Finance, Supply, Product and Engineering teams on demand plan over 2-year planning horizon

  • Cost - Drive efficiency in all areas of work and allocate resources to best achieve expected outcomes

  • Organizational and talent development - develop and retain a highly productive and efficient team while driving a succession pipeline

  • Coordinate across demand and supply teams in other regions - Participate in strategy development and lead programs to drive global adoption of best practices, innovations in planning while allowing for regional flexibility

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to summarize complex topics into simple and relevant factors for leadership

  • Analytical acumen; obtain, organize, and draw insights from multiple data sources

Qualifications:

  • Experience driving cross-functional alignment through S&OP or consensus planning processes

  • Strong change management skills with proven success in delivering complex projects

  • Oracle or other ERP/APS software experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required.

  • 2+ years of management experience and/or other people leadership experience preferred

Target Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $150,000

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
  • 4-year bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering or other relevant discipline.

  • 3+ years of experience in a supply chain role and demonstrated track record of achieving stretch goals in the planning field
