Configuration Management Database Developer / SME Washington, DC (remote) Pay From: $65.00 per MUST: Experience CMDB SME 8+ years of overall experience 5+ years of experience in CMDB Development and implementations or IT service Management projects Experience developing CMDB from the ground floor using Open Source tools outside of ServiceNow or BMC Remedy Experience with data management and database technologies Experience working in Operation Technology environments and systems Proven ability to work as a Lead/Consultant for new technical programs and help move projects forward into a development phase Ability to handle the technical aspects of a data integration and transformation Strong process management or project management skills with the ability to manage complex technical implementations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong management skills with a prove ability to work well end client and technical teams Highly analytical with strong attention to detail ITIL Foundation certification (minimum), ITIL Expert preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field - or equivalent work experience Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile) preferred Relevant CMDB tool certifications (ServiceNow, BMC, etc.) is a plus DUTIES: The ideal candidate will work as a subject matter expert to help guide and lead a government client with the creation of a new CMDB system This candidate will work as a consultant and help lead the efforts to best identify the needs and choose the right tools and work on the design and development of the solutions for our client Evaluate CMDB tools and provide recommendations based on organizational needs Manage procurement processes including purchase orders and licensing agreements Configure selected CMDB tool according to organizational requirements Create and maintain CMDB Data Dictionary with classes, attributes, priorities, and policies Design CMDB Playbook including data ownership, approval processes, and CI group definitions Design and implement data import processes from multiple sources Extract, transform, and load data sets into the CMDB system Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans including user acceptance testing Create integration interfaces and document integration points Develop user training materials and conduct training sessions Execute go-live activities including communication plans and execution reporting Provide post-implementation support and generate final project reports Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
