QA/QC Support Specialist

Job Summary

The QA/QC Support Specialist supports the Electric GIS team in a project to replace legacy mapping systems with ArcFM, Schneider's mapping platform. This role focuses on data validation, map accuracy, and system testing to ensure the integrity, consistency, and functionality of migrated mapping data. The position operates on a hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two days remote.

Job Responsibilities




  • Perform queries to validate the accuracy and completeness of legacy mapping data migrated to Esri systems.



  • Review land base symmetry, structure connectivity, and cable connectivity for accuracy.



  • Verify attribute data for linear and point features associated with electric and gas components.



  • Update and resolve map symbology issues as needed.



  • Conduct system testing to confirm proper functionality of the new mapping platform.



  • Maintain and organize database spreadsheets, logs, and related documentation.



  • Prioritize and manage data review tasks to meet project deadlines.



  • Collaborate with team members and provide support for additional GIS projects as assigned.




Job Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree required.



  • Minimum of two years of experience using ESRI ArcMap; knowledge of Esri GIS platforms preferred.



  • Demonstrated experience with MXD building, spatial queries, and spatial analysis.



  • Experience in utility or infrastructure environments strongly preferred.



  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.



  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.




Education




  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field required.




Work Experience




  • At least two years of GIS experience, including hands-on use of ESRI ArcMap.



  • Experience in QA/QC processes within utility, mapping, or data migration projects preferred.




Additional Job Details




  • Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).



  • Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.



  • Must be able to meet project deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy.
