Job Description:

JLL is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate Accountant II for our Client Accounting Services team in Westmont, IL. This role involves managing complex accounting tasks, preparing multiple property level financial statements, guiding more junior staff and supporting diverse clients.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of accounting and analytical skills, and can work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Independently manage financial reporting processes including journal entries, financial statement preparation, actual to budget variance review and bank reconciliations in accordance with client requirements.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly property financial statements for a complex multi-property portfolio for presentation to and by the deadlines established by JLL clients.
  • Lead monthly calls with JLL Property Management and clients. Take ownership of client relationships, acting as the strategic lead to ensure service excellence, address concerns proactively, and align property accounting activities with client business objectives.
  • Complete and submit financial statements and work papers in reviewable form and within the proper time frame for review
  • Support both JLL's global business and clients by providing oversight and serving as the main point of contact between global partners and clients
  • Participate in internal and external audits and coordinate with various departments on requirements.
  • Oversee property level cash management processes including bank reconciliations, critical payment processing, reimbursements to JLL, timely recording of cash receipts and fraud prevention protocols.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of management agreements and loan agreements for assigned properties
  • Support your manager by assisting with the training and guidance of more junior team members and in the comprehensive review and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Partner with property management in the preparation, calculation and review of the year-end reconciliation process.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR- REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, Real estate specific
  • Adaptability - maintains effectiveness in varying environments, tasks and responsibilities, or with various types of people.
  • Planning and Organizing - Ability to establish a course of action to accomplish goals and evaluate results.
  • Ability to multitask, work successfully under pressure and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload to meet client needs.
  • Client Focus - dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of all business partners and clients, establishes and maintains effective relationships with clients, and gains their trust and respect.
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge specifically Excel
  • Experience with some combination of Real Estate specific software specifically Yardi, MRI

Estimated total compensation for this position:

73,150.00 - 86,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
